YOUNG ACTORS SHINING FOR CHRIST
ABOUT

Founded in 2009 by sisters Hannah Ryel and Sarah Weber, Stage Lights Theater Company provides children and young adults with an affordable opportunity to produce and perform a full-scale musical production each summer.
What makes our group unique is that our actors also help with the set design, costuming, hair, make-up, and many other technical aspects of each show. Because of their hands-on involvement with nearly every step of the production, Stage Lights performers feel a true sense of ownership of every show that they participate in.

Performers from a wide range of age groups and theater backgrounds come together as a team, combining their many God-given abilities to meet the challenge of producing a high-quality, Broadway-style musical in just two weeks’ time. We strive to give children and young adults from ages 8 to 23 the unique opportunity to work together each summer to create an entertaining, uplifting experience for their audiences and an unforgettable, character-building experience for themselves.
Above all, Stage Lights Theater Company members and directors strive to focus on CHRIST, to be “light in the Lord,” and to “live as children of light” (Ephesians 5:8). As performers, we humbly stand in awe of the privilege of spreading His gospel and bringing Him glory by sharing our talents with others, both on and off stage.

At Stage Lights, we emphasize community and fellowship. Our main goal is for every single person who comes through our doors to know that they will be accepted into our family and loved by castmates and directors alike.

HANNAH RYEL
Founder & Director
Hannah Ryel is the founder, producer, and co-director of Stage Lights. As a child and teen, she appeared in musicals at various venues around Wichita, including Music Theatre Wichita and Crown Uptown Dinner Theater. Today, she is happily married to Mason (SLTC's set builder), and she loves being a stay-at-home mom to Liam and Jordan. When she's not busy planning and executing nearly every aspect of the group's summer shows, Hannah enjoys teaching group fitness classes at the Wichita YMCA. She is thankful for the incredibly rewarding opportunity God has given her to build Stage Lights into what is has become: an unforgettable theater experience for everyone involved!

SARAH WEBER
