HOW IT WORKS:
SUMMER PRODUCTIONS
REGISTRATION: Registration for The Little Mermaid JR and Bright Star will open by Monday, February 6th. Once registration is open, click link above, fill out the form, then follow the instructions to pay and sign up for an audition time.
AUDITIONS & CALLBACKS: We hold vocal and dance auditions. Auditions are done in groups in front of other performers as well as our creative team. Read here for instructions on how to prepare for auditions. Callbacks are held the next day and are by invite only. Not everyone who receives a callback is guaranteed a spot in the cast. Those who do not receive a callback are still just as eligible for casting. We aim to have our cast list out 1-2 days after callbacks.
REHEARSALS: Early rehearsals are three times a week for three hours and are held the six weeks before full camp. Full camp is a total of thirteen days (10 days of rehearsal, 3 days of performances). The first six days are for rehearsing and reviewing material. We take Sunday off, then dedicate four days to tech-rehearsals. Our performances then take place on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evening, as well as Saturday afternoon. All tech rehearsals and performances are located at Wichita Center for Performing Arts.
